EATiP Mirror Platforms (MiPs) are industry-driven multi-stakeholder aquaculture clusters, supporting the implementation of strategic research and innovation activities at a regional/national level. They are important facilitators to gather knowledge on consensus opinions and priorities of the stakeholder communities in their regions/countries.

The Hellenic Technology Platform for Aquaculture (HE.TE.P.A) is an industry led initiative within the context of the European Technology Platforms aiming to become a key player in driving innovation, knowledge transfer and competitiveness to the aquaculture industry in Greece.

HUNATIP is a multi-stakeholder platform including producers’ association (MA-HAL), university (SZIE), research institute (NAIK HAKI) and international network (NACEE) to assist innovation in aquaculture.

IATiP brings together major stakeholders across every field of Irish Aquaculture creating a platform for exchange of ideas and new technologies and aiming to promote Excellence in Irish Aquaculture.

EATiP MiPs have a strong mobilisation role, assuring:

  • industry-focused strategic research and innovation agendas, roadmaps and implementation plans, for application at national, regional or European levels
  • Industry and research participation in the EU Framework Programmes for research and innovation, and cooperation with networks in other European States;
  • identification of needs and opportunities for international cooperation;
  • external advice for the programming and implementation of EU Framework Programmes
