Multi-stakeholder involvement

The activities organised by EATIP provide the foundations for technical and economic excellence in aquaculture which will be the basis for realising the leadership potential for professional companies and researchers within Europe and at the global level.

The dynamism to achieve this requires enthusiasm and commitment from a wide range of individuals, companies and organizations throughout Europe, working together to create new ideas, development and innovation.

EATIP is working on several pan-European projects - which are descibed individually in the PROJECTS section of this website. More specifically EATIP is coordinating a EU-funded Support Action (FP7), "Aquainnova".

"Aquainnova" has established an operational framework for dialogue by using an open and transparent participative process, including all stakeholders of the aquaculture value chain, so as develop Vision documents and Strategic Research Agendas for EATIP's main thematic areas.

Part of the process for directly involving stakeholders in the debate is through the organisation of 4 trans-national thematic workshops, which will be events dedicated to facilitating dialogue between National and European policy makers, researchers and stakeholders in aquaculture.
