Unique chance to meet Vietnamese shrimp producers at EURASTIP brokerage event in Brussels

EURASTiP is calling upon all stakeholders interested in Vietnamese shrimp production to attend a unique brokerage event connecting you directly with Vietnamese shrimp stakeholders, including enterprises, as well as policy makers focused on trade promotion:

  • Are you an EU shrimp import and trade enterprise/association and interested in getting to know more about the practical status of Vietnam shrimp production, including enhanced traceability of shrimp products?
  • Are you an NGO stakeholder interested in sustainable shrimp development in Vietnam?
  • Are you involved in a development project between EU and Vietnam aquaculture stakeholders and eager to improve linkages to support global sustainable aquaculture development?
  • Are you a stakeholder who is interested in promoting trade relations between Vietnam and EU to ensure the effectiveness of EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)?

If so, then attend the EU-Vietnam dialogue for sustainable development of shrimp production and trade taking place in Brussels this November. This networking & brokerage event focuses on identifying and developing business opportunities between European and south-east Asian shrimp companies.

Invitation to private sector, NGO’s and government to challenge our findings.

     

10:30 -12:30: Challenges of Pond Aquaculture and Benefits of Bioflocs Related Innovations. Session with 8 speakers, among whom Prof. Verdegem and Emeritus Prof. Sorgeloos.

13:30 – 15:00: Approaches to Design and Adoption of Innovations in Aquaculture. Session with 6 speakers among others from Wageningen University and WorldFish.

15:30 – 17:00: How can Innovations in Aquaculture Contribute to Inclusive & Sustainable Business?

A workshop introduced by Prof. Simon Bush, followed break-out discussions in a World-Café approach and a plenary to discuss three themes:

  • Feasibility of the bioflocs principle in (Improved) Extensive Aquaculture ;
  • Overcoming Constraints to Innovations by Smallholders ;
  • Inclusive Business and Sustainable Trade.

EU-VIETNAM DIALOGUE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SHRIMP PRODUCTION AND TRADE

On November 28-29 the EURASTiP project organises its first Brokerage event in Brussels on EU – Vietnam Shrimp Trade.  This networking event aims to identify and develop business opportunities between European and south-east Asian shrimp companies.  EATiP invites European aquaculture companies and other stakeholders to join!

EURASTiP Exchange Programme – Second Call Now Open

Receive up to €3000 to connect with aquaculture experts in Europe and South-East Asia

Maximise existing and new collaborations and strategic partnerships between Europe and south-east Asia in the aquaculture sector with the EURASTiP Exchange Programme.  Opportunities are available for industry, researchers and educators from both regions to connect and gain new perspectives while sharing innovative ideas to help develop long term partnerships.  Bursaries of up to €3000 are available per exchange (subject to eligibility criteria) to support international innovation and collaboration.
